Stayed for 1 month through OAKS. Its OK. Rooms are pretty good size. Pool and spa are good. The lifts are too small and give some people motion sickness. I have no idea how people move furniture in them. The gym is a bit underequipped for so many residents. Hallways are dark and narrow. DO NOT MAKE PHONE CALLS IF YOU ARE STAYING AS A HOTEL RESIDENT. THEY CHARGE ABOUT $10 PER MINUTE TO RING MOBILE NUMBERS.

When I first moved in, it wasn't too bad. Then OAKS took over and since then it has gone totally downhill. Like it has been mentioned in previous reviews, when the residents are permanent they show some respect and have a little courtesy. Hotel guests are here just to party, hens nights, bucks nights, 21'st and use all the facilities much more than regular tenants, because they are on holidays. Lucky I just rent, so move out tomorrow. I would be pissed if I actually bought the unit. :) Since OAKS moved in, all security has disappeared. Prior to there arrival, there were always two security, Thur, Fri, Sat night. Now none? I don't understand that at all. Two to none? At the moment, I have little fly insects flying all through my unit also. Everytime I go to have a drink I have to check my glass. Totally disgusting when I asked them 4 times this week to have the floor fumigated due to other bad tenants on my floor leaving garbage in the garbage shoot area for days on end. two cleaners to do a whole building. :) OAKS really need to look at there staff also a lot more. Customer is never right here. :( Think twice before buying a unit, or even renting here, is my opinion. Cheers Shane

The building is an eyesore that is seen from all quarters. The first thing to greet you when approaching the CBD from the airport, it is another poorly-designed manifestation of the excess influence that bad-taste developers have over what should be a beautiful city: Brisbane. So much for the BCC\'s Urban Planning Chairman David Hinchliffe\'s focus on \"high-quality pedestrian experiences [and] excellence in building design\". Queenslanders: asleep at the wheel yet again, while developers and crooked councilors run amok, treating the public domain like their own personal cash-cow. We deserve everything we\'re gonna get.

Hmmm, maybe I s/be more positive seeing as I want to get a good price for my investment. Oh well, I was never too bright but I am not an idiot - I know when I have been fooled, and/or ripped off. Best of Aussie luck to you!

Oh boy, where do I begin. If I could wind back time, this s/be a last investment choice. Since Oaks took over, body corp expenses gone up and their services have shifted towards subsidising their more profitable short-stay tourists. I agree longterm residents are defintely slowly being marginalised. Eg. after 2 mths, still waiting for our routine kitchen repairs. Lobby reception is now a no-go zone for residents-they only serve 24-7 guests that can't afford real hotels. Residents now have to take time off work M-F to meet their so-called Resident Manager - not Sat. mornings like they used to. And we have to go outside of the Lobby area. But, hello, they now have 24-7 Lobby reception. (What the ...?) Most residents I met in lifts agree they have definitely been marginalised - except for those lucky few here, apparently. For the rich & stupid (& those with a thing for views)-this is a perfect haven! Can't wait to move outta here, while there remains more suckers to buy me out.

I can go on about the way Oaks is manipulating the makeup of this residential building through their monopoly over "building management services" and their wannabe "hotel" services. But will move on to bldg & facilities deficiencies you may be more interested in. The apartments are relatively small for the money you pay. There are better value investments out there. A favourite saying: "Hind sight is always 20/20". Next ... Entrance doors do not stop smokers on the floor stinking out our living space nor stop smokers on other floors stinking out our washing on the balcony. Noise level is terrible on regular basis - Fri/Sat late nite pub music & upstairs apartmt noise into wee hrs of the nite-not to mention plumbing noises from the water pipes! Definitely not as soundproof as you would expect. Quality is found wanting for the money they demanded. It has also become like an industrial zone with all the new building activities around it. Carpark traffic is terrible, except most weekends, early AM & late PM.

Aurora Tower got to be the best ever Appartment Building when it comes to the Skyhomes. To overlook the City and its surendings is breattaking. The Contry is lit up under your feet, it is quite an understanding. -The Tower is a miracle and so is Contry to. The Place is like Heaven on Earth

Having lived in Aurora for two years, and still owning an apartment there though I am currently elsewhere, I have to say that I am astounded at the low rating given by some commentators. The View!! The convenience of Aurora's position in relation to transport, nightlife, shopping, arts! Yes, there are a few ratbag renters (and many nice ones) and yes, management issues have come up from time to time, but once you close your front door and look out your window you'd have to be brain dead not to be blown away.

I have lived for for nearly one year and love the place. The foyer now looks great; the gym is terrific; and the staff (cleaners and receptionsists) do a great job in what can be trying conditions. I hope the carpark is monitored as it is important not to let illegal parkers get away with parking there for the day. That is my only concern. In short - Aurora is a great place to live. JaneB

My partner and I purchased an apartment in Aurora a little over eight months ago and we absolutely love it. We never have problems with noise and the apartment has been beautifully maintained and the quality is really good. Our apartment does not have curved walls and our furniture fits great, heaps of space!! I am sure, like every apartment, there are some layouts better than others but we are very happy with our place. The only issue I do have is that the intercom only works half the time, but we had the same problem in our last building?!

This is a great building, the quality of the apartment was excellent and we never experienced any sound issues that some of the other postings have mentioned. Looking at several of the other postings I believe many of the things mentioned are standard teething problems that go with living in a brand new building.

The management are probably the worst I have ever seen! I have never been treated so poorly! The intercoms are useless and usually broken. The lifts are constantly full and usually not always working. I have waited 30 minutes to get out of the carpark. Many residents rent out their carparks to people who work in the city so the lifts are also filled with these people. Getting internet is difficult. The rents are not worth it!

Worst apartment to live in. The management could not be any more rude if they tried. The building is fine to live in but unfortunately, the management and the horid woman on reception make living there more of an unpleasant experience than what its worth. 5 Lifts for 67 floors...when they are all working of course. The weekends consist of the management downstairs blocking a couple off to allow their real estate agents up and down selling the apartments!! And now the fact that its half turned into a hotel, the foyer is always packed with young teenagers and hens nights over the weekends. Last weekend I came home at 1am to fing someone passed out in the lift! If I wanted to live like that Id go rent an apartment on the Gold Coast during Schoolies week!!

I lived here since it opened and frankly it was not up to scratch back then. A lot of things didn't work for weeks/months. The intercom system is useless, it rarely worked. They didn't even have Foxtel to start with, then when it was finally installed you could only get the basic old foxtel set-up i.e no I.Q etc. Not enough lifts and just not very well organised. The overall design of the building/apartments could have been much better, instead it looks rather cheap and dated, especially the paintwork. A non-stop selection of very noisey neighbours from day 1, (seemed like they booted people out each week). Partys all the time = very little sleep. Views are amazing and the air con was great but it was just not up to scratch unfortuntely. I wish developers would quit installing showers baths! People don't use baths! We want decent showers! Office staff are pretty average, sometimes good sometimes full of attitude. Security issues, especially with the losers from the niteclub next door who seemed to resi

No problem with sound from other floors, unless we are just lucky enough to live on a really quiet floor. The management though are a different story though - for the price that you pay to live here, a little bit of courtesy and 'customer service' wouldnt go astray. The daytime receptionist is TERRIBLE. New management has been brought in, so far so good - the new receptionist (Margaret I think) is wonderful! Management could fix the issue of 'non residents' using the gym though. This is annoying when after work you go down to use the gym only to find it full due to someone running their private personal training business. It hardly seems fair. Likewise with the amount of non visitors cars both in the visitors carpark as well as the non residents in the residents car park. The amount of days I have come home from work of an afternoon and nearly had car accidents just due to the mass exit of city workers leaving the building driving like utter maniacs through the carpark. The lifts are really bad - of an afte

It is the worst apartment i ever lived in. It is only close to city mall otherwise i will had move somewhere else. The management are very bad, apartment is not even clean where only have two cleaner doing the job for 67 levels, ridiculas. There are no sound barrier between levels as consistenly hearing from walls and up-stairs. Over-all just bad. Dont live here, only if you work close to the mall, otherwise dont pay this high $ rent for this kind of issue.

1. Bad managment Team, never response to reasonable requests with un-reasonable body corp fee. 2. Bad carpark security facilities when entering lower carpark. If you're just one person in car, then you're in trouble for running up and down to get into carpark. 3. Bad swimming pool temp, should be 27 degree but I never found it meets the requirement. 4. The door intercom is not working properly and always take ages to repaire. 5. The window glass only clean once for two years and it supposed to have twice a year. Do you think you would get a good view from the highest skyline view in Brisbane? 6. Bad investment, the body corp fee double in next year after you purchased the apartment. 7. ....... more and more; you will be crazy if you try to invest in The Aurora Tower, Brisbane. Check it out before you digging a hole for yourself.

The Entertainment area is locked by 10pm every night!! It only opens by 7.30am on the weekends!! Useless for people that work late and want to unwind after a work out in the gymand then use the sauna and pool. Management changed the times after some people over a year ago had a party in the entertainment area.!! Surely punishing all residents , owners and occupants is rediculous! Where is the security and why can't they be on call if people want to use thier own facilities. With over $4.25 Million recieved a year from Body corperate monies SURELY they could pay a security gaurd to attend the entertainment floor during the later hours even if it's only untill midnight. Some people work nights, study hard, start early, finish late, or just prefer to have the freedom of choice! What can we do to improve this childish behaviour of the management? PLEASE HELP.
